When I started Cultured Compliance Co, LLC, I planned to increase my engagement in the community and my network because it fills my cup! Today was spent in great company doing just that! 👏 I volunteered for The Boise Metro Chamber’s Operation Thank You, delivering packages to fellow chamber members, got to break for a fun lunch with Becca Proctor, Debbie Jones, and Karyn Stuart, and ended the day with a special After Hours at the Sockeye Brewing warehouse with Julie Triepke 🍻

It’s Time to Take a Stand: Boycott Brands Supporting Genocide in Gaza! All those economic champions stating that what will happen to those working for these companies - Don’t worry they’ll get jobs when our local players will expand in their place! As consumers, we hold immense power in our hands. Every purchase is a vote, a stamp of approval. But what happens when the brands we endorse are supporting, even indirectly, atrocious acts like genocide, child labor, or environmental destruction?I urge all to take a stand against Israeli brands. Due diligence is no longer optional; it’s a responsibility. Research the brands you support, know their acts and understand your spends add up in their profits that fuel their actions!Change Starts With UsBoycotting an Israeli brand may seem like a small step what happens if they don’t sell 1 unit to me? That 1 grows as multiplier and it sends a powerful message. Our collective action can drive change, protect those children being killed brutally in Gaza. You might not be able to see the impact today but prepare to dry up their profits tomororw!Let’s create a wave of change, one battle at a time.#BoycottUnethicalBrands #CorporateResponsibility #TakeAStand #israelterrorist #boycottmcdonalds #boycottmcdonalds #freepalestine

Behind the curtain (TLDR). This was our process for the Richardson Sports video:- Client briefed us on the idea, Quality in Every Stitch v2- We concept Hat Valley with the RS team, crafted up a loose storyline and interview questions and started preproduction: gear, locations, lodging, snacks, shot list, snacks, all the things.- Meanwhile we started putting together a playlist of vibe inspiration for the music creation, discussing with RS team - heaps of vibe alignment. Discussion of guitar tones, and musical eras and favorite artists and why it works. It’s the best.- Production in Eugene for 2 days: 4 interviews, b roll of many many locations, snacks and about 30 soda waters (just me) and some waffles.- Back to Portland where we then track the songs. Monday morning at 9 am and you’re tracking music professionally, you have a “this is my job now” moment and get back to work. Four 2 minute songs in 4 hours and then home with Tommy to mix.- Video editing and art / design prep along with photo selects and color grading are next. Lots of revisions, nothing that sexy in this phase but it’s also everything. F**k this up and you lose.- Edit rounds galore, client feedback. First one is always scary, because there’s always so much feedback. It’s the moment you realize how different the vision in your head is from the vision in their head - and then the process of aligning those visions or creating a better more singular vision (the goal, and outcome of this video - I think).- Final color graded video is delivered, along with multiple vertical and horizontal short cut “teaser” videos. We pride ourselves on the borderline obscene amount of content we deliver. We also hand over youtube thumbnail, selects and really whatever else is requested.- Delivery to the masses, along with the moment of complete exhilaration at finishing a big project. Also, the inevitable crash and panic of now what - until you look at your todo list and realize it will be fine. Hello Friends!Over the past three years, I've had the incredible opportunity to work in the craft beer industry and the home brewing supply market in Sweden. During this journey, I founded Crooked Moon Brewing together with some great friends and learned invaluable lessons about running a business. I also consulted for Brewski, managing everything from shipping logistics to designing graphics for Brewskival in both 2022 and 2023. This included creating signs, posters, banners, festival bands, and designing 50-60 beer labels for Brewski. However, life took an unexpected turn. On February 2nd, we welcomed our second daughter, Sóley. Shortly afterwards, I was informed that due to changes in the home brewing market post-pandemic, my role was no longer needed. While I understood the decision, it was still a significant change.Fortunately, I was able to secure a part-time consulting role with Brewski over the summer, which helped support my family. As of September, I began my parental leave, partly because I hadn't secured another role after Brewskival, and my wife, (who has been a complete rock during these intense periods of dreaming and late nights), works in Denmark and is the primary earner, needed to return to work. The beer industry has faced challenges, and many passionate individuals have lost their livelihoods. While my preference is to stay in this industry, I'm open to opportunities outside of it as well, given my responsibility to my two daughters. I'm looking for a full-time or flexible part-time job, as I also manage some minor brewery operations, which occasionally require immediate attention. My parental leave ends in February, and I am actively seeking employment. While I don't have a formal university degree, I bring a wealth of self-taught knowledge in various media productions like music, video, graphic design, and illustrations. I excel at finding unique solutions and rethinking traditional methods. I'm particularly passionate about beer chemistry and always eager to deep into research and finding new products and solutions. I may not be the best fit for specialized role like a Japanese sushi knife, but I am versatile and adaptable, much more like a Swiss Army knife. If you or someone you know could use my skills and enthusiasm, please reach out to me via DM. Feel free to share this post, and if it makes you happy, clap your hands! Here is some (not all) of the work I've done over the years. https://lnkd.in/d5EwCPcw

Thr Effect of Rheum ribes Root (Rhubarb) on Menopausal Hot Flashes: A Randomized Double-Blind, Study-Iran University of Medical Sciences,Tehran, Iran.AbstractBackground and objectives: Hot flashes are one of the most predominant complaints of menopauseamong women. The main treatment is hormone replacement therapy, which has side effects. Therefore, the use of plants with phytoestrogen has been suggested as an adjunctive treatment. This study aimedto estimate the efficacy of processed rhubarb (Rheum ribes L.) on hot flashes in postmenopausalwomen. Methods: This double-blind placebo-controlled trial was performed on postmenopausalwomen who were referred to public health centers at Iran University of Medical Sciences. Ninetypostmenopausal women aged over 45 years with menopausal hot flashes were randomly assigned totwo groups. The treatment group received 500 mg of encapsulated processed R. ribes twice a day foreight weeks, and the control group received placebo (starch powder) in the same manner. Data werecollected using Blatt–Kupperman index at the start of the study, fourth and eighth weeks after theintervention. Descriptive and analytic statistics were used to analyze the data. Results: A total of 74patients completed the study (39 participants in the intervention group and 35 in the control group). The results showed that R. ribes significantly decreased the mean of flashing in Blatt–Kuppermanindex four and eight weeks post-intervention (p<0.001). Rheum ribes showed no serious adverseeffects. Conclusion: The findings of this study propose that treatment with R. ribes may be considered an adjunctive treatment for hot flashes in postmenopausal women.

I have some thoughts on the upcoming #HispanicHeritageMonth as a Latina business owner — Latinas making up less than a generous 1% of ownership in a considerably lightening-fast growth segment (alcoholic spirit-based RTD, not to discount also whiskey) of an anticipated $2036.6 BILLION global industry by 2031, according to Allied Market Research. Even with an absolutely beloved trailblazer product in the “best bet” of an industry sector, I am still swinging for funding and to prove ourselves as a worthy investment opportunity. Coincidence? I dunno, you tell me. Do you think a woman like me and with my experience can be a profitable CEO?Wondering how I “got so good at self promotion”? I get this a lot! A matter of survival, really. Ancestral calling, if you will. Modern history studies weren’t designed to tell the stories of people that look like me. Firstly as a woman, and also as a person of color and mother. Being vocal is important for future generations. Yet if only for my daughter, I will tell her our business’ success story. The story where we had no choice but to be successful, with the weight of our ancestors carrying us through to the win. A win for Siponey Spritz Co.™ is a win for generations — truly.I often get asked what we are doing for DE&I. Internally, we’ve brought on a shareholder into a member-ownership position, the first of anyone outside of the Founders, Lauren O'Brien, of Afro-Latina descent. This is what making a seat at the table looks like in real time. I am PROUD to have her support at the Siponey Spritz Co.™ table. Externally, the majority of our nonprofit partners are minority-owned (list here: https://lnkd.in/edpuss*B), as are many of our consultants proudly carrying our torch. Redirecting dollars to those from diverse backgrounds is THRILLING to me. My work has always been rooted in championing the underdog. While we’re on the topic of underdogs, Latinos, and people of color as a whole, are headed to the MAJORITY. I’m personally working on omitting “minority” from my vocabulary, despite growing up with the term. That’s what’s up for #hispanicheritagemonth for me and Team Siponey. Inquiries for coverage are now welcome to info@siponey.com Consider this an invitation — I’d love to hear from the community on the thoughts surrounding HHM.#latinos#latinas

What better way to celebrate Easter than to have our very own Easter egg hunt? 🔎 🐤 The whole team paused work to take part in the hunt, which involved searching the office for a cream egg with their name on it, after which they were rewarded with a bigger chocolate egg. 🍫 Some took longer than others to find theirs but, in the end, there were chocolatey smiles all around. 😋 #easter #team #leadgeneration #digitalmarketing

In the journey of achieving something significant and for the long haul, building a team is the key. You can't do it all alone. As a start-up, it can be daunting to bring in new members when there's no revenue yet, but not taking this step can be costly for progress. We've already taken the leap of starting a start-up, so why not embrace the risk and see where it takes us? This is what RenewMe embodies for me—embracing risks, challenging the status quo, and stepping out of our comfort zone to fulfil our mission. 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒐𝒅, 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒃𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒇𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚 𝒃𝒚 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒇𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒊𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔.
